Mammoth Mountain

Big-Bear-Kids-Ski-FreeTrying to figure out what to do over the Winter Break? Take the kids skiing!  There are several options close by where you can go skiing for the day or plan a short overnight or two night stay.

Big Bear Mountain Resorts just two hours outside LA, offers guests a unique opportunity to experience two distinct winter resorts, each with its own personality and attributes, for the price of one. A single lift ticket provides access to both Snow Summit and Bear Mountain which are located just two miles apart, and connected via a free inter-resort express shuttle service. Each resort offers a variety of diverse terrain providing skiers and snowboarders with a combined 438 developed acres, 26 lifts (including 4 high-speed detachable quads) and more than 55 runs. Snow Summit offers a traditional alpine atmosphere with a great deal of intermediate terrain and mainstream cruising for skiers and snowboarders. Bear Mountain offers a youthful environment that attracts skiers and snowboarders from around the world. Kids 6 and younger ski for free at both locations.  They offer kids (ages 5 – 12) and adult lessons from 2hrs hours to a full day. Please call ahead to confirm lesson availability at (909) 866-5766 as it depends on whether there is snow on the mountain.  Get details online at www.bigbearvacations.com
