I’ve been to The London West Hollywood often. Its a popular location for brand events and VIP gatherings, a favorite spot for lunch and a perfect location for an evening cocktail. The London recently underwent a massive renovation and the results are stunning. Since its opening in 2008, The London West Hollywood has boasted an atmosphere of British style flawlessly melded with a Southern California twist and that style echoes throughout the hotel. One of the nice features about The London is that all of their rooms are suites, and all 226 suites recently got an upgrade. They also added 26 new suites including the Penthouse inspired by Vivienne Westwood.
As an all-suite property this is an ideal location for families and The London West Hollywood goes all-out to make sure that and you and your kids feel welcomed and pampered. There are special amenities for the kids from the Paddington Bear finger puppets in your room, to the children’s menu at both Boxwoods and the Pool Dining area, books from Hollywood’s iconic Book Soup, Mommy & Me and Daddy & Me pampering at the Alex Rodan Salon and plenty of fun splashing around at the pool. Your pets are welcome too!
Knowing that success is in the details, The London West Hollywood recently added a new London Bar that leads to Boxwood restaurant. The bar is filled with sunlight from the overhead skylight inspired by English country house conservatories and orangeries.
“As we enter our second decade, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue to take The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills to new heights of modern luxury hospitality through this 11-million-dollar investment,” said Jeff Kulek, General Manager. “We’re bringing new energy to the lobby with The London Bar and refreshed Boxwood restaurant. Along with the renovations to one of the most sought-after rooftops in LA, these enhancements will perfectly position the hotel for its next decade, and beyond.”
The London Bar’s vibe is modern yet classic. I can’t imagine a more perfect spot for afternoon tea. The communal bar and marble counter tops, surrounded by luxe leather and velvet barstools is the perfect spot to meet your girlfriends for a night out or grab a cocktail with your spouse. After a British-inspired cocktail head into Boxwoods where Executive Chef Anthony Keene and his team have created a menu featuring California inspired share plates paired with world class wines.
While The London West Hollywood boasts an elegant and hip vibe, they also embrace fun. Winston & Churchill recently joined The London. Each day, guests will have the chance to meet, greet and play in their favorite hangout, Hampton Court. Or, say hi during their many walks around the property, and while they’re lounging at the rooftop pool.
Speaking of rooftop deck, its stunning! The new design from AKA Architecture & Design enhances the panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills, while retaining the feeling reminiscent of an English garden. The pool area features private cabanas and Victorian-style loungers in classic fabrics surrounding the rooftop’s saltwater pool. You can dine from the Boxwoods on the Roof menu while looking out over Los Angeles.
You can also snap an iconic photo and post it on Instagram with @thelondonweho or #thelondonweho #winstonandchruchill because who wouldn’t want a photo with these two happy mugs? The artwork features images from London super imposed on Winston & Churchill’s gorgeous faces.
If you’re looking for private event or meeting space The London has multiple options including the private dining and sitting rooms at Boxwoods, Hampton Court, the English-style rose garden overlooking West Hollywood toward downtown Los Angeles, Kensington Ballroom, several private suite options, and the Rooftop Deck. No Hollywood hotel is complete without a screening room. The London’s screening room features 110 seats, Dolby Digital 71. Surround Sound and Dolby 3D, a Junket floor with private talent access, an in-house screening room specialist and a bar area.
I just adore this hotel and the beautiful job they’ve done on the renovation. It’s written all over my face in these photos! I see a 50th birthday party plan in my future….
