Sometimes you get an idea that comes out of necessity. You start looking for something that you need personally and can’t find it…so its sparks an idea for a new product line and the next thing you know you’re starting a company and bring it to life. This is exactly what happened with Chris Pegula and the inspiration behind Diaper Dude diaper bags for dudes.
When his kids were little, thirteen years ago, Chris’ wife came home with a dozen flowery diaper bags. He asked which one was for him and she told him to take his pick. There was no way Chris was going to use any of those uber-feminine bags. He went looking for a diaper bag that he felt “cool” using and that was highly functional and worked the way a dad would use it. No such luck. So Chris launched Diaper Dude. He was one of the forerunners of the dad doing parenting products movement. His experience is now well documented in his delightful book From Dude to Dad.
Chris also believes in giving back. Diaper Dude has always been partnered with a number of charities, donating a portion of proceeds to organizations like St. Judes, Global Green, Camelot Kids and many more. And now he’s taking his philosophy a step further and has launched True Dude, a lifestyle brand dedicated to encouraging men to take action to be a positive influence. When you shop for a True Dude you raise funds and awareness. Their donate 10% of their True Dude product sales to support their exclusive charity partner, Futures Without Violence, to prevent domestic violence, child abuse and bullying.

ABOUT DIAPER DUDE
Diaper Dude is a lifestyle and a Brand that was born from the idea that fatherhood doesn’t have to be complicated or un-cool. Diaper Dude, created by Chris Pegula, is a movement that began after the birth of the first of his three children by turning feminine-style diaper bags into ones that dads would want to carry. Pegula noticed that most diaper bags and accessories sold at retail stores were designed with women’s sense of style in mind. Instead of carrying his baby-stuff around in a gym bag or backpack, Pegula created The Diaper Dude for dads. By merging hip styles with functionality, The Diaper Dude appeals to image-conscience men everywhere looking for ease of use. With the Diaper Dude, dads can easily access the essentials: diapers, bottles, clothes or wipes and toys without taking off the bag! As today’s dads are more involved than ever, Diaper Dude provides a user-friendly approach to making the life of parents easier. Today, these fashionable diaper bags are available nationwide in stores ranging from upscale boutiques to department stores such as Neiman Marcus. You cannot open a magazine without seeing a famous dad of today – ranging from Brad Pitt and David Arquette, to Matthew Broderick, Ben Stiller, Patrick Dempsey and more….carrying The Diaper Dude
