It’s More Than Just a Summer Camp:
Camp Galileo (Pre-K – 5th graders): Four new weekly themes combine art, science and outdoor activities into a whimsical narrative that keeps kids giggling and engaged.
Galileo Summer Quest (5th – 8th graders): 13 majors to choose from, professional tools and materials, exceptional instructors and a chance for older innovators to realize their own personal vision.

GSF is happy to announce their City Seedlings Summer Camp 2016!
The Garden School Foundations’ City Seedling Summer camp uses GSF’s Seed-to-Table philosophies to encourage play, exploration and learning in their 2 acres of beautiful school gardens. During two week-long sessions in June, campers will be welcomed to GSF’s landmark 24th Street school garden for an exciting week of cooking, gardening and science activities, outdoor games and arts & crafts. Campers will leave the day camp with new cooking and gardening skills, new friends, an appreciation for nature and an understanding of where their food comes from.
City Seedlings campers will have the opportunity to:
Whip up a delicious menu of garden-inspired culinary creations! Kid-chefs will assemble & enjoy fun recipes that incorporate fruits and veggies from the garden; including garden sushi, taco salad, ice cream and rainbow crackers.
Engage in interactive science activities like compost critters, prune paratrooper and leaf sun-tan, all taking place outside in GSF’s living garden-laboratory.
Cultivate a life-long connection with nature through engaging in fun garden activities

About us: The Garden School Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides interactive garden-based learning to children in underserved communities across Los Angeles in our beautiful living classrooms. Since 2003, we’ve been turning asphalt into ecosystems, working to create a healthy, educated and aware future generation that care for their bodies and for the earth. LA Tinkering School teaches children the skills they need to work confidently in wood, plastic and metal to build robust structures as wild as their imaginations. ATAM in Pacific Palisades offers classes, camps and birthday parties around art, technology and music. Day long Summer Camps give kids the chance to explore various learning activities like Minecraft, Roblox and Movie Makers. After school classes include programming and app building and Musical Chairs an opportunity to try out different instruments including violin, viola, harp, guitar, drums and keyboards.
During the day while kids are in class parents make use of the studio learning photo shop and other computer skills.
