I got to check out some incredibly cool tech including Google Home, Tile Series and Tile App, LG Hom-Bot and Anova Sous Vide and at a recent lunch at Redbird hosted by our friends at Moms LA. I was introduced to Suzanne Kantra, founder of Techlicious, a platform that serves as that friend you go to when you need advice about technology. Joining Suzanne at that luncheon was Blake Rouhani of the Consumer Technology Association*. Let me tell you, these ladies know tech!
Our lives are filled with busy moments, and every opportunity we have to make things faster, easier or more convenient is a bonus for busy parents. Technology is one of the ways we can do this. At the luncheon we were introduced to some incredible products and services. The first and most obvious of these was Google Home. Which I have to tell you, has been such an incredible resource in my kitchen since receiving one at the luncheon. I can ask about the weather, play music, get recipes, answer homework queries and so much more. Love this commercial from Google Home because it really helps you understand a multitude of way this technology improves your busy life.
Always misplacing your keys? No more. With the Tile Series and Tile App you can hook these cool little gadgets onto your keys so you can locate them anywhere. As Tile says, “To find anything you put a Tile on, just open the app. Ring it if it’s nearby. Check the map for its last known location. Or ask the Tile community to help you find it.” They even have tile adhesives for the back or your phone or remote controls that always seem to go missing. Watch the video and it shows how someone else in the tile community can even help you locate your missing item!
Next up? The Hom-Bot from LG. The quietest robot vacuum on the market. Its square shape gives it a greater advantage in corners and tight spots. But don’t take my word for it. Watch the video!
Cooking family meals while juggling kids, homework and the pets is always challenging. Plus I feel so limited in what I’m making. I make the same quick meals all the time. Between Google Home’s recipe advice and this ingenious gadget….the Anova Sous Vide I can cook perfect proteins without worrying about overcooking or undercooking, even if I walk away from the stove. And the Anova App has lots of recipes to follow. You can manage your temperature settings directly o the device or on the app on your phone. How’s that for hi-tech?
There were a variety of tech gadgets introduced to us at the luncheon. Far too many to mention everything here. The above were the items I knew I would use in my home and home to try out and share with you as well! Here’s some fun pictures from the event. Its always a great day when a group of peers gathers in a room for a tasty lunch and an opportunity to learn something!
