The Valley
Miss Melodee is a dance teacher and singer/songwriter for the toddler-to-teen set for over 10 years. The studio offers a range of dance, creative arts and movement classes, from classic ballet and tap to hip hop, musical theatre, dance and yoga. There are classes for toddlers, children, and teens, as well as adult Pilates Barre Fusion and Zumba classes. Classes meet every day – for a full schedule, please visit their website. East Side
Your Neighborhood Studio in Culver City is amazing. My daughter takes Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Contemporary during the week. Kim Borgaro is the youth director, and is fantastic. She also has a dance troupe, Ontheedge Yde that meets Saturdays for four hours. It’s a great program, and not as expensive as other dance studios. - Submitted by reader Carole Yu (Thanks Carole!)
West Side
Ballet Conservatory West is now open in Pacific Palisades offering creative movement and ballet classes, adult ballet, tap and Mommy & Me classes.
Bubbles in Santa Monica offers a number of dance classes including Infant Dance, Toddler Dance and Fairy Princess Dance Classes. Bubbles also has a number of yoga classes for children as well. This indoor playground is not only perfect for movement education classes but also for parties and events.
Creation Station in Culver City is a wildly creative dance school concept which provides movement based programs for children starting at 18 months of age.
