Her radio and television show “Broad Topics” ran for 5 years, and she also was a traffic reporter for Clear Channel stations KFI and KTLK, in which her reports always sounded like this: “Traffic in LA is bad, really bad. She has worked as a technology consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, a corporate lawyer with Glaser Weil & Shapiro, and as a nonprofit and community development lawyer with Public Counsel. Stephanie Abrams is a former CBS reporter and anchor in local and national broadcasts, with 18 years experience in broadcast journalism. Her most recent television news work was at CBS in Los Angeles where she became known for her on-the-scene work in breaking news situations and for her feature and exclusive stories. Following her work in television Abrams spearheaded the first social media outreach and team development for the Los Angeles Unified School District. As the second largest school district in the country she was responsible for communicating district news to 65,000 employees and nearly one million students and their families. She became known for bridging the gap between hundreds of offices and stakeholders within the LAUSD by building and training a team across the District committed to transparency and engagement through various social media sites. She also developed a weekly news update broadcast on YouTube and PBS called @LASchools. Abrams now runs her own PR firm sharing inspiring stories she finds within the Los Angeles area.
