Ruby’s Studio: The Feelings Show is the Mother Company’s 45 minute DVD is all about helping young kids to understand their own feelings and those of other people. Hosted by the delightful Ruby, feelings like sadness, happiness, frustration and many more are explored through hands on activities in Ruby’s studio, which may be the coolest studio ever, with its bright colors and imaginative learning tools.
To illustrate specific examples of real feelings our kids experience everyday, Ruby talks with real kids in her studio. When Ruby spills paint, she helps the viewers learn what it means to be frustrated and how to handle that feeling. The overall message throughout the DVD is that everyone has many types of feelings, as demonstrated on Ruby’s huge Feelings Wheel. Using songs, activities and age-appropriate language, Ruby helps children understand how they can express their feelings, read other people’s faces for clues to how the other person is feeling and ultimately, learn to understand these complex emotions.

“What a helpful book. We love Ruby’s Studio!” says actress/mom Jennifer Garner regarding A Little Book about Feelings. We agree! This book is for parents to read to their young kids–or for emerging readers. Its message is universal: everyone in the world has feelings…babies, big people, little people and even pets! This is the perfect book for the toddler and preschool years, when frustration at stores, play dates naptime and pretty much anywhere can be extremely difficult for kids to express and comprehend.
According to parenting expert Betsy Brown Braun, Sally Simon Simmons’ Super Frustrating Day (Ruby’s Studio) is ”A must for ever young child’s library.” When Sally encounters a school project she thinks will be easy, but turns out to be super-frustrating, readers go along with Sally’s journey as she let’s out her feelings and refuses to give up on the project. This book is for parents to read to their kids—or for emerging readers.

My Feelings: A Book About Me and The Way I Feel is filled with very unique, creative hands-on tasks for kids, this book is a wonderful opportunity for kids to color, draw and create. Kids will use the book’s feelings stickers to learn just about everything there is to know about our most common feelings like being happy, confused, sad, annoyed, lonely, surprised and more. Brilliantly illustrated, your kids are sure to want to use this book to create and explore their own feelings!
