Have You Made Plans for “What If…”

You made a birth plan, you bought all the nursery furniture, you stocked the cabinets with swaddling blankets and onesies, your kitchen is now an anti-bacterial safety approved vanguard with bottle sterilizers, cleaning solutions, and safety locks….but have you planned for “What if?”

You signed-up for the “best” Mommy and Me class, joined a playgroup, researched locally made organic clothing lines and BPA free and lead free toys, visited every possible pre-school and even applied….but have you planned for “What if?’

What if something happens to you or your husband and your child is left without a parent? Or worse, without both parents? This is a  topic no one likes to broach but like it or not, as parents, we must. MomsLA recently interviewed Sona Tatiyants, a local estate planning attorney who has made a specialty of working with families. She answers questions about what would happen to your assets if something happened to you and what would happen to your kids if something happened to you. Sona is a wife and mother, and in addition to holding a Law degree (J.D.), she also has a Masters of Law in Taxation with an emphasis in estate planning (LL.M.). Her videos are meant to express a few of the reasons families should consider consulting an estate planning attorney.
