Top 5 Websites for Things to Do in LA Memorial Day Weekend
Its late…and I am trying to wrap up too many things tonight to actually write a post. Sorry folks. But lucky for you some other busy Moms DID have the time! If you are looking for fun things to do in LA this Memorial Day weekend check out the calendars on these sites.
CBS Local Los Angeles – Every day CBS posts a Top 5 or Best of something in LA. You can sort these posts by category. They always include destination address and contact information and great pictures. Oh – and many of the posts are written by LA mom bloggers (including me). So you are getting some great inside scoop!
Santa Monica Macaroni Kid – although SM Mac Kid is named for its West side location editor Courtney Lewis runs a pretty comprehensive calendar of events. We like that the calendar is easy to navigate and easy to use.

MommyPoppins LA – this NY site recently launched an LA branch which is spearheaded by busy Mom Roberta Brown who makes sure that Moms in LA get the full scoop on local activities. Nice feature – the site is subdivided by age and area of town.
The Family Savvy – check out the new event calendar on Sarah Bowman’s site, color-coded by age. The Family Savvy is a “carefully curated” selection of events taking place at LA’s museums and cultural institutions.
And of course there is Red Tricycle. A media site launched by some smart Moms in San Francisco and funded by some smart VC’s in Silicon Valley that is growing rapidly on the West Coast. They have a calendar of events you can scour plus daily posts about things going on in LA.
