REVIEW: Bubbles
I can't say enough great things about the fantastic time we had a Bubbles in Santa Monica! Located on 5th Street just N of Broadway – with parking in the back. The staff is terrific and friendly, the space is clean, contemporary and fun! Marie, the owner, has made her kids pay-to-play space edgy and cute using dark wood, cafe style metal tables, white walls, and accents of apple green throughout the place. I love the girly yet modern sofa by the salon with the lovely green pillows. Its a great place to lounge while your kids are playing!
When you enter the space there is a great eating area with drinks and snacks by the front. There are several of those awesome white IKEA highchairs stacked for your use. To the back a lovely mini salon greets you with a hair cutting station, also for manis and pedis, and a chaise where the kids can recline all the way back to have their hair washed. Ask for Kathy, she does a terrific job!
The play space is to the right. It is fully enclosed and features a toddler sized treehouse like climbing structure. There is open space for riding a few mini cars or playing with dollies and shopping carts while your "cartoon friends" smile at you from the wall and a little nook where the kitchen and lots of utensils reside. In the back of the play area Bubbles has provided kids tables for crafts and facepainting provided by resident artist Caitlyn.
But lets not forget the dance room with lots of light, a full wall of mirrors and plenty of space to run around. My daughter and her friends created their own dance class while we were there and had a blast! Check Bubbles online schedule because they offer scheduled Mommy and Me Yoga, Princess Dance, Jolly Baby and Infant Massage classes.
PS – it's very CLEAN in there! and there's 2 bathrooms and they are both CLEAN. And they CLEAN the toys and play area constantly.
